Careers at The International
Between Amsterdam and Schiphol lies a golf club where sport, gastronomy and hospitality come together. On the course where the DP World Tour has been a guest several times, our members hit their first ball every day. Afterwards we welcome them in the clubhouse for a lunch, a dinner or an event for their relations.
To make that possible every day, dozens of colleagues work together in five teams: greenkeeping, kitchen, front of house, service and reception. They make sure everything is right, from the first tee time to the last glass.
No two days are the same: every season, every guest and every event asks for something different.
What makes working at The International special
You work in a club where members feel at home, and you are an important part of that. Golf, gastronomy and events come together here under one roof, and every team contributes to the whole. And all that close to Amsterdam, away from the bustle of the city.
You get the room to grow, with training, courses and the chance to gain experience in different roles. The atmosphere is informal and collegial: lines are short and the teams work closely together.
Our teams
Greenkeeping
The course is the heart of the club. Every day our greenkeepers mow, irrigate and maintain the greens, fairways and bunkers. Here you learn the trade on a course built for international tournaments. The DP World Tour has been a guest here several times, and we maintain that standard all year round.
Kitchen
Many members and guests come especially for the restaurant. Our kitchen brigade prepares everything for lunch, dinner and events: from a lunch after the round to a six-course dinner at the Chef’s Table or live cooking out on the course. You work with fresh seasonal produce and get the room to develop as a chef.
Front of house
In the restaurant the club comes together. One moment you serve lunch on the terrace overlooking the course, the next you help with a dinner for a full room or a private event. What always stays the same is how we welcome guests: attentive, professional and with pleasure.
Service
The service team is often the first face members and guests see, and makes sure their day starts well. You take golf bags from the car, set out trolleys, bring what is needed to the hospitality points on the course and help at events.
Reception
Reception is the face of The International. You welcome members and guests, arrange tee times, answer questions and know better than anyone what is happening in the club that day. You make everyone feel welcome, and for many members you are the familiar face of the club.
